Tips for parents!

 

I'm often asked the question, "How can I help my child at home with writing?" Listed below are some excellent resources. The most important thing is to make writing fun and enjoyable. Writing also becomes more meaningful when it has a purpose. Maybe your child can help you write a recipe for a family member or help write cards for special occasions. When children see that writing is used in multiple settings (not just school) it gives them a reason to want to do it. Your child may even be interested in starting their own blog so that they can expand their audience. The possibilities are endless!
